Explore Your Choices

To best serve our patients’ needs, we offer several levels of sedation. Nitrous oxide, also called laughing gas, creates a feeling of warmth and peacefulness during your procedure. You simply breathe the colorless gas in through a mask that rests over your mouth and nose. Once we turn off the gas, the effects from the nitrous oxide quickly dissipate.

For patients that require more sedation, Dr. Ganjoor can provide oral sedation or combine oral sedation with nitrous oxide. If you choose oral sedation, you will take a dose of anti-anxiety medication about an hour before your appointment. A responsible adult will need to drive you to and from the appointment. Upon arrival, one of our team members will escort you back for treatment and make sure you get settled. Alt hough you will feel totally relaxed and can answer our questions, most people remember little about the time in the dental chair with oral sedation.
