Custom Dentures Provide A Complete Smile

celina dentures

We don’t just treat tooth loss with a bridge. If you have a more substantial or complex case of tooth loss, we can secure a set of removable or implant-retained dentures. In today’s blog, your Celina, TX, dentist talks about providing a full smile with our custom dentures.

When You Need a Dental Prosthetic

When does a smile need a dental prosthetic? If you have missing most of your teeth and have several gaps across your bite, but you still have a significant number of teeth in place, we could provide a partial denture. If you are missing the vast majority of your teeth or all of them, then we could complete your smile with a full prosthetic. Our team will examine your smile to see which option is right for you.

Remember, treating tooth loss is essential, helping you avoid limited meal options, poor nutritional intake, and issues with clear speech. You also feel more confident in your appearance and will enjoy social situations more, boosting your overall quality of life. Don’t live with advanced tooth loss, even if years have elapsed since you lost your natural teeth, we can help!

Partials

With the partial, we will take detailed images of your bite with an intraoral camera, using these images to design and craft a custom set of new teeth. The prosthetic will contain new teeth that will fit in the gas in your smile, all set in an acrylic base that mimics the appearance of gum tissue. Metal clasps will connect to natural teeth to keep your new teeth firmly in place, and we take time to ensure your new teeth will blend with the rest seamlessly. The removable prosthetic needs to be cleaned and soaked regularly, and tends to last about 5 to 10 years before replacement is needed.

Full Dentures

If you have lost the majority of your natural teeth, we can gently remove the last few and then take images and impressions of your bite with digital technology. In a lab setting, we will create a complete row of lifelike ceramic teeth set in an acrylic base. Suction or adhesives will keep your new teeth in place, and they will also need cleaning and soaking just as your partials do, and tend to last about 5 to 10 years.

For both options, we could also secure them with dental implants or a longer-lasting and fixed alternative to removable prosthetics!
